The real rare one is the pre-war aluminum Super 8 head. They rotted away.

The aluminum 359 is for the high compression stroke and intended to reduce carbon. It benefits from being polished.

However, I seldom see it on motors because it causes problems. Once I was looking over a 359 and noticed black soot around the plugs because they were loose.
