Oil pressure for that style of engine with normal bearing clearances should be about 35 psi at 30 mph, 15 or better psi at warm idle.

The 35 psi at 30 mph comes from Packards notice for the 282 engine, the 15 or better at idle is just personal observation. If the hot idle pressure is a bit less than that but jumps up quickly I wouldn't be concerned but anything less than 30 psi at road speed is a sign of problems and I wouldn't drive the car until I found and corrected the problem. I'm hoping you find the pump intake screen choked with sludge, it's not an uncommon finding.
