From what I can see in parts manual the 47 uses essentially the same components as yours. Here is what a 47 looks like thru a layer of dust. Bolt should be 7/16-20 x 1 1/2" and layout is the same on all holes.
There is a plate on the top side about 1/4" thick. Can't tell if it is removable or fastened to the crossmember. If it is the correct length bolt, then wonder if the plate was removable and left out at some time and is the reason for the slop.
