Re: 1950 Packard Trunk Pan

I don't think you are going to find any great detail in the parts book.

The 47 uses the same 392607 trunk floor pan. I also bought the same repro piece with the same portion needed. Haven't decided exactly how I will do mine but am thinking it is going to be a process of two or three strips welded together. Not sure if a single piece with a sharp bend will shrink or stretch into the rounded curve well enough. Be interested to hear what you are planning.

On the cross section drawing, one thing I can think of that might be worth pursuing is contact the people that have the blueprints and see if by some chance that part number is one of them. If they have it, the nominal charge might be money well spent. Whether they have the time to look for details and see if that bent over portion and hole locations is included on the print before you buy it is unknown.

I don't remember the contact person's name offhand but others should be able to post the info before too long. If not, I will find and post it.

EDIT: 4/11/14 -- here is contact info from March News Bulletin ad.
