Year-end Leftover 1953 models

Hi

Reading Ward again, I was struck by how the 1953 sales were strong until about April then tanked. Certainly, the Ford/Chevy sales blitz was sucking the oxygen out of sales in other price segments but it seems if Packard would have been above that fray. Anyway, has anyone seen figures on how many leftover 1953 models there were when the 1954 models were introduced?
