Hi Gentlemen

My 1954 Shat-R-Proof Auto Glass Replacement book shows usage and part number interchange for 1940-1954.

Windshield (W234), with squared upper corners, is used by all 1951-54 hardtops and convertibles.

For sedans, only 1951-52 use (W193), rounded upper corners, in common.

Then, all 1953-54 sedans use (W312), the squared upper corner unit. Although its looks the same as the hardtop/convertible unit, its not. The hardtop/convertible unit is two inches less in height

It surprises me they didn't fit the hardtop/convertible windshield for sedan use throughout to save tooling costs from the get-go. But, the taller sedans had to have their own windshields.
