21st series R9 overdrive kick down switch

The R9 overdrive in my 2126 is functioning nicely, however the kick down is not. The switch is in place on the firewall, though the throttle mechanism seems to be either missing something or is not setup correctly to actuate the switch on kick down.

Is anyone able to share any photos of the throttle mechanism to actuate the kick down switch for a 21st Super?
