I had a mysterious overheat problem in my 52
We have basically the same car
I fixed EVERYTHInG ,recorded the rad ,changed the water pump ,hoses ,thermostat ,hot hot hot
Finally I figured out that I had the wrong radiator cap !,,, it was too short even though it fit on the hub of the radiator
Correct cap /no more problem ,do you have the right cap?
