stainless trim removal ???

Guys,
What is the best way to remove the stainless trim on my 1949 series 22. Is there a special tool used or do you remove door panels and then nuts from the clips?

Pictures would be helpful. getting ready to start the paint process and it would sure be easy if the stainless trim was removed.
