Well, to me this has been a really enjoyable thread, both by contributing, seeing the contributions of others which I hope continues, and seeing that yet others have enjoyed it. By the time of the Centennial in 1999 I had pretty much given up slides and gone over to Fujicolor so let me end up with a few of them (some mine, some by others) of some interesting and unusual Packards.

The first 2 are of a 1922 Twin Six "cape top" built for our WW I General "Blackjack" Pershing - note the absence of rear doors; if memory serves the coachwork was by Fleetwood who built on many different chassis until GM bought them in 1925. EDIT - it was built by Brunn! I don't recall the details on the next one - perhaps someone else can fill in the blanks. Then a Rollston 443 and a pair from the Bob Bahre collection taken during our visit to his collection after the 2005 Boston (Danvers) PAC National, a '34 Twelve Dietrich and a 1941 by Bohman & Schwartz; Bob's collection is probably best known for having all 3 styles of the '34 Twelve LeBarons. Then 3 photos from the Centennial, the front-wheel drive V12 prototype; many of us didn't know still existed until we saw it there, again from the Bahre collection. And then two photos of a lovely Murphy town car; that's well-known Packard authority Jim Pearsall behind the wheel. The first photo at the Centennial and 2nd at the Danvers National. Then a pair of rebodied Packards, the Ruth Gordon car which mounted the body from her earlier Pierce-Arrow on a new Twelve chassis; there is a photo of this car in Life magazine at the inauguration of Dwight Eisenhower as President, photo taken at the Rockerfeller Petit Jean museum about 1970 and the car still exists though was repainted a hideous blue when at Warren a few years ago. And then the Barbara Hutton car, rebodied with an earlier Brewster body from an older Rolls; color photo taken at the PAC National in Gettysburg just a few years ago.

Hope you continue to enjoy.

CORRECTION: The car I identified as the ex-Gen. Pershing car was not his, first owner was a coal baron from western PA or West Virginia, and yes - it's by Brunn. So perhaps the unidentified car, 3rd photo, was the Fleetwood for Pershing?
