Bad Gas in Tank

Well I got my Packard. Its a 1948 Deluxe. Fuel regulator was leaking, I replaced it and both parts stores I went to said the gas was bad.There is only a small amount in the tank so I wanted to fill it with ethanol free gas with added stabilizer. What do you all think????? This car is in original condition, only 15,ooo original miles. It came out of an estate and only had 9400 miles on it . Previous 2 owners have put the rest of the miles on it in the last 10 years. A power fuel pump has temporarily replaced the original. Everything works except electomatic clutch. The original interior would rate a good to excellent. Thanks for any suggestions.
