Just to make sure it's clear to you, you do not have to remove any parts of the Electromatic to have the transmission and clutch to function conventionally. All you have to do is to turn off the Electromatic (switch or fuse). It would also be a good idea to plug the vacuum line coming across from the intake manifold.
