Re: Pressurized Brake Bleeder for 1951 200

A couple months ago I replaced all the hoses and wheel cylinders in my 1954 Packard Patrician and discovered that both rear star adjusters were all the way in but in this case the brakes themselves were snug. Apparently decades ago when I replaced the brakes, I did so without first disconnecting the parking brake cable so be sure you do so before adjusting, then follow the shop manual for readjusting the cable!

As for bleeding, I recently bought a couple caps that fit the Packard master but they are drilled and tapped for a remote reservoir. I intend on using one of these as an adapter for my pressure bleeder once I get the master rebuilt. The spare original cap might not be a good choice as an adapter because it is vented but these modern caps are not. (Sorry, not a good shot as the caps were not what I was photographing!)
