On your mention of the fender panels, I don't have any good views showing every brace and panel but here are a few shots of the fender panels showing them as they were attached when the fenders were removed. In addition to the top brace on the mud guard portion there is a long brace not shown that goes at the bottom -- attaches just to the rear of the wheel opening and goes over to the lower inner fender panel.
