Packard used an air dome to smooth out pump pulses on models thru 51 or 52. The dome was eliminated after that. The castings are probably the same but with the air dome eliminated you will need a plug for the extra hole. If the gas is spurting from another hole besides where the air dome would go please provide a photo of where it is coming from.
