Learned something new and that would explain the change in part number from 26th series to 54th. I had thought it might be a size difference on the speednut rather than going from tubular to flat. The 54 and 56 cars I have worked on had the flat round style.

Getting the pins out of the tubular style without having them pull off the pot metal script or emblems will be interesting. I have no suggestions and have not had much consistent luck in pulling the pieces off where they used tubular in other places. One might pull out fairly easy and the next one over refuses to budge. Hope someone has a proven method they can share and if not, maybe your luck will be better than mine.
