Re: trunk upholstery kit

Have not seen anyone offering a kit for the trunk or interior for that matter. There's replacement floor pans but they're not correct. The usual; is it a 22 or 23 series '49? needs fleshed out for correctness.
I've a '49 23 series and the sides are covered with the flock and the flocked part is painted over body color(blue). The paint stops at the rear seat supports. They're red oxide primer. The underside of the trunk lid is in pretty good shape with original paint. It was too far gone from wildlife habitat to have any mats survive.
I don't see any problem using the same carpet as the interior if you want a nice looking trunk. Any upholstery shop can cut and edge. Another option; I put grooved roll rubber matting in the Cad just to keep it clean. It's readily available, comes by the lineal foot in wide widths and not very expensive.
