I reattached my mechanical gauge (to the last oil gallery plug at the rear of the engine on the passenger side) and ran the engine for about 30 minutes, until I could get the lifter to tick again just enough to hear. Oil pressure held steady at 40 psi. I think when it gets real good and warm after 40 minutes or so the oil pressure might drop down to a bit less than 35, when the little light will blink a little at idle (depending on how low I set idle).

Good thing is that I believe I have isolated which lifter it is. I have a couple of spares lifters so I will investigate replacing that one. Hope I can do it without taking the manifolds off.
