Honestly it looks pretty good to me, make sure it runs and drives smoothly though.

Be sure to have a good peek around to see how much rust there is. If you can, it's helpful to record a video walkaround (especially the interior) and simply post it on YouTube as an "unlisted" video, and link here.

The one thing I will say is, if you won't be happy with an iffy interior, don't buy it. Redoing them properly is very expensive and time-consuming. Just know whether you're the type to need a car that looks like it's well-loved and 5 years old, or if you're okay with well-loved and 69 years old.

One of my mottos is "if it's already broke you don't have to worry about breaking it"... hence why I don't mind if things show a bit of wear. You can drive it for 20k miles if you want, and it won't be noticeably worse. In my opinion, it's a bit harder to enjoy driving a car in excellent condition. Judging by that you're looking at $5k Packards instead of $15k, I assume you would feel similarly.
