Oil Pressure Gauge

Got a stumper here... My Oil Pressure Gauge is not working properly. The car is a 48 Deluxe 22nd series 2211. I have done all the tests. Grounded the wire to the gauge turned key and needle bottoms out at 80 like it should. Tested actual oil pressure with a proper gauge and when car turned over needle instantly hit 40LBS perfect! So that tells me the actual sensor is no good. I have replaced the Sensor with Napa Parts OP6742 and ECH OP6091 both from the Cross Reference Parts File with limited success. OP6742 sends the needle to 80 when car is turned over then slowly goes to 0. Again, I have done multiple tests with an Oil Pressure Gauge all confirming proper operating pressure. Second, I used ECH OP6091 this worked for a while but gave varied results. Needle would go to 80 then settle to 40 then to 60 when driving and now 0. I even went so far as to try a NOS part from EBAY with no luck either. All electrical connections have been checked and cleaned and secured to make sure I have good connections as well. So that said I am stumped!!
