Anyway, What is the rear end you’re using? As for the spring, as 53 Cavalier said, a local spring shop should be able to help but my experience with them is mixed. My 1954 Patrician always rode low in the rear but after re-arcing, it’s high and rides like a truck.

Also, how did you get the drum off without pulling the hub? Did you cut the rivets? These are supposed to be removed as an assembly from the tapered shaft as shown in my photo below and never separated.
