From my experience. Look over EVERYTHING !
You already know the engine needs replacement, and one is included. Thats good.
Everything else mechanical is an unknown.
Brakes, wheel bearings, hubs, suspension bushings, the entire rear axle, the trans, all the steering parts, the radiator, all the electrical, and operating functions of the top.
I am not saying don't do it.
I am saying be very aware of "the rose colored glasses".
If i would have looked harder, and closer at my car when i bought it, i would have negotiated more on the price.
A year later, there are lots of little things i have found, that i should have seen when i bought it.
Get under it, with a really good flashlight, don't make an offer, or a decision until you have looked at it all.
The "Rose colored glasses" can get the best of us.
