Wondered about that. The blue 47 custom shown in pict above (which can only assume is original) appears to have no wire exit in loom high up as done in later years. It has the trunk light wire going between the skins, exiting onto the left hinge as per usual then going across picking up and wrapping around the loom all the way down to the left tail light. It's connected to a slot on the 4 wire bakelite connector feeding the tail lights & license light (there is another identical connector for the brake lights). Just seems so un-Packard like to have the wire wrapped & coiled up in this way for such a distance. If there is another version, would sure appreciate a picture.
