Well, since I bought those two 356's, this idea has gone down the tubes. BUT, it's still usable information to those who may want to try it.

Now, onto the reason why I dug this thread up. The 356 uses the same pistons as the 288/327. Same pin height. So, although I can't get a longer rod to drop the compression height down some, it looks like I can bore it out the 359 bore size (3.5625) and have a 369. Or, if I went out to 3.588 I would have a 374, LOL!

I'm thinkin' that an .088 overbore will be no problem for one of these engines.
