Unusual packard?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and my friends call me gizzy.

I have stumbled upon a Packard in a barn and need to get some advice.

It's a 1954 Executive 2 Door hardtop with a V8 engine instead of a straight 8. The car looks 100% bone stock. It also has a push button auto trans and runs well. During my research, I found 56' Executives, but not 54's. There are 54's out there, but they are sedans or limo's and not 2 door hardtops.

How many 54' Executives were 2 door hard tops? When did they go from straight 8 to V8?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this marque, I usually work on Fords and Mercs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
