Ted, I'm confused, are you refering to the swing-away long footrest as shown in my 34 Packard, just ahead of the hassock and going nearly the full width of the compartment? That's a different item than a hassock; I don't know the last year for the full-width true footrest, 1939 would be my guess for production bodied cars.

What my 48 and 50 Custom 8 had, and I think all the bathtubs did, was a recess in the lower back of the front seat, just above the floor, that was carpeted and was as a footrest, but it was a fixed portion of the front seat.
