Tom, memory says that the "PACKARD" lettering on the trunk semi-circle was black. The only red was the circular medallion. Look at the first picture in the 1951 pictures section as it is a pretty good view of the trunk and trim.
If anyone has a better recollection or actual pic that would be great.
