There is a partial description of shroud removal in the 46-50 and the 51-4 service manuals in steering sections with instructions on how to remove the steering gear. It's not terribly descriptive in the detail dept. It has been a few years since I removed the shroud so my remembering of how may not be the quickest or simplest way. If no one else comes forward in the next few hours, will give it a try later on.
