double action fuel pump

Does anyone know how much suction is drawn off of the inlet side of a 1950 288 straight 8 double action fuel pmp. I wouldn't think there is a difference in the suction from the year of the fuel pmp, just the size. I have not been able to find the information in the TM that I have or online. Thank you for your help.
