If you are not pickey about authenticity a muffler for a 70's Ford 6 cyl pick up will work very well. It will require a extension on either the front or back of the muffler. I did this on my 49 Deluxe 8 sedan with the 288 and overdrive years ago and have had no problems in the last 30,000 miles. the muffler is still doing it's job and it was a huge cost savings. I love those bathtub Packards.
