Multi barrel carbs and multi carb setups need a balance passage or tube to equalise vacuum for a smooth idle. Usually there is a small passage in the base of the carb or in the top surface of the manifold. See if there is a notch between the barrels on the bottom of the carb. If not the hole may be the balancer.
