I'm thinking that the rear transmission seal is leaking. To better help you, if you can supply a picture of the leaking area others will advise on the best action. However changing the seal is a pretty easy matter. The service manual for the 1951 to 1954 cars is available on this web site and is easily downloaded or used as an in place reference to read.
