If your car is a stick then opt for an overdrive or conversion to one of the Ford 5 spd or 6 spd's. If automatic then rear axle ratio is about the only easy way short of converting to stick with OD or to a modern AOD trans. I think someone is making the coversion kit for the modern AOD.
