The motor number on the drivers side located just below the head anywhere from about midpoint to above the starter depending on engine would tell you the year. The first letter would be J=51, K=52, L=53 and M=54 and second number is the size. Depending on condition and size would determine how much interest. 40 years sitting might be a turnoff but when you have it, posting the engine number would let people know what is available. If it turned out to be the 54 senior 359 engine with number starting M6, that would probably bring most interest if still rebuildable.
