If I remember another thread from a few months ago, the heater and vent controls unbolt and are pulled forward away from underneath. You will then need to remove the glovebox to provide a bit of room to twist radio and to get your hand in and also the long heater plenum so it can slide back far enough. Once those items are out of the way it should slide, twist slightly and drop.
