I probably put about a gallon in a full tank (25 gallons); the car didn't vapor lock but then again it never had before and hasn't since. As I recall it ran OK, some slight tailpipe smoke. Just to be on the safe side I think I'd probably restrict it's use to just those occasions where you think you might encounter especially stressful conditions.
