I think it's an interesting car. The body looks pretty solid, with only what appears to be superficial rust. The interior, of course, looks like crap. Everything seems to be there as far as the engine is concerned and I assume the Ultramatic is there too. The air conditioner is intriguing, isn't it? You probably already saw it, but in the Packard Literature and Manuals there is this "How to" guide for installing a Packard air conditioner in a car that didn't have one to start with. I thought it was hysterical. Talk about a lot of work! The manual advised taking out everything, right down to the carpeting. What a pain that would have been. I recall that when I was a kid, my father had an aftermarket AC installed in his 1956 Ford. It was under the dash and contained the controls and vents and seemed to work OK. Knowing my father, I can't imagine him going to all of the trouble that Packard recommended for installing an air conditioner.
