I'm not as familiar with the 55 Carib, and it's been over a decade since I looked at the interior details closely. The seats for 56 are a completely different animal (and skin).

However, it's obvious that someone took liberties with color of trim on the sides of the front seat back and the front seat bottom shields and the mid-section of the front door panels on this 55. That is, those areas are covered in white instead of red. Compare it to the Caribbean pages in the 1955 Dealer Book Upholstery section available in thsi site's archive.

With the Rose Quartz exterior color scheme, I'm kinda surprised that this car was built with the red trim set (96) rather than fuschia (97). Didn't see a view of the VN plate among the seller's photos.
