G'day Riki, I've decide it's time to get my arse into gear and get to work on this uni joint. I've removed the tailshaft and now realise that there's a good chance of damaging the caps in the tail shaft if I try too hard to force them out. I don't want to do that just in case I have to put reuse this uni joint. I'll hold-off until I can find out whether a replacement is available, even if it means that I have to reuse the bolt-on caps. Tomorrow I'll take the tailshaft to a uni joint supplier to see if they can identify a replacement. If they can then I'll buy one, if not then I'll explore other options such as modifying the tailshaft to accept a more readily available uni joint. I'll keep you posted. John
