did my own, OPSI, on the PI pump, there is back and forth play in body ,,and ,,the bushing in plate, shaft moves back and forth there too.

so i thought the problem was the shaft moving back and forth ,,sucking in air?,,

as far as shaft fit in plate, i don't think the person could read a mic.

that pump is doomed before it even gets used.......

what i spent on pumps, i could of put in a few mellings.....

so anyone thinking of getting a PI pump, check it out!!,, when you get it,

for the shaft, i am thinking ,bushing ball bearing combo, if i can find a ball bearing to fit in that body, that would be my fix.. or ball bearing only, 1-1/2 inch long one. a needle bearing would fit in there, a caged type,

my ideas for anyone wanting to keep the packard pump.
