IIRC, Hank went thru this on his 55 and the seals are NLA. Max suggested tie rod dust covers could be used by drilling out the center hole slightly. I believe that is what he did but there was still some issues with getting it over the ball so maybe a bit of heat would help it stretch. Steele has several different tie rod ends and a couple look like possibilities. Maybe the local parts store would have something.
