This eBay Packard is an example of my frustration with some ads.

The vehicle is described as a 49 Packard Super 8 which is Body No. 2272, Chassis 2202, w/ 327 in3 engine..

The first for digits of the VIN number are 2262 which infer a 49 Packard Deluxe 8 Body No. 2272, Chassis No. 2202, w/ 288 in3 engine.

This concern for accuracy is one of several examples that prompt my question regarding the 288, 327, 356 Spotters Guide.

What am I missing here?
