If you wanted to use the longer cleaner you could always add a brace to support the filter end similar to what Packard used on their large horizontal filters.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb ... .php?post_id=195021#forumpost195021 If you wanted the element at the front then if it goes far enough forward maybe use one of the bolts in the water pump area or even use the original brace location by placing the cleaner across the engine it it will clear the oil gauge.
