There is no way to grease the front bearing. Water gets trapped there and destroys the front bearing and also the worm that drives the gearbox. You can get a replacement bearing and it is recommended to drill and tap the plug at the end for a grease fitting. Give it a shot once in a while. Clean and repack the gearbox with Owen Dyneto's recommended grease. I can't remember what it is right now and the search function obviously doesn't like me.
