The rebuild was done by Packard Motorcars in So. Windsor, Ct. several years back. There was an older gent working there who had been a Packard mechanic at a local dealership who started the rebuild but was not able to finish it . So I can't verify if the problems I'm having are the result of the work done by the person who finished the job.

Needless to say, I'm trying to decide if it's worth keeping the Ultramatic and see if someone else can fix it once and for all so we can take it on a long trip without worry.
