$10K seems a reasonable ballpark figure for today for a good quality job. I had the interior redone in my 56 Carib about 9 years ago, a bit of extra expense due due to the double-sided seat cushions. Also a new top installed. Labor at an upholstery shop was about $6500 and I provided most of the materials, 3 leathers (2 custom-dyed), seat fabric (SMS), a couple of vinyls, carpet kit, convertible top, pads and window, and a few other odds and ends. Labor charge also included making the boot and boot bag.
