Thanks guys - all good advice. I'ts great to hear everyones different approach to this issue. If these bushes do chop out with some regularity as suggested here, then maybe tapping the pins to accept cap screws or replacing with bolts as per hank's method may be the way to fly. I'll let you know how I go...
