Perhaps it isn't as that was not a Mecum auction. The Caribbean I wrote about went to Mecum in a packaged deal to get a '32 Duesenberg SJ. The man who traded the Caribbean as part of the deal to get the Duesenberg died only about 6 months later.https://56packardman.wordpress.com/2015/09/29/gear-head-tuesday-mikes-new-toy/

He still had the '55 Caribbean (5588-1185) when he died. I'm trying to keep track of where this car goes. As the owner had an ongoing working rapport with Mecum, it will probably go to one of their auctions.
