sterring wheel removal

On a 56 clipper I have a horn that blows when the wheel is turned to the 3 oclock and 9 oclock positions ,i have disconected the horn relay but would like to permanently fix the problem .Is there a place to pry the horn off to limit damage and is there a known fix other than to hunt and peck at the contacts untill i figure it out ? thank you for your help i see no notes in the forum or in the manual
