Believe all the PS pumps Packard used were mfg by Eaton. Bendix and Monroe cylinder assys. For the V8 power steering filter, Napa FIL 1653 fits.
https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/FIL1653 The same filter is available for less $$ under other numbers at various stores.
I ran into an interesting situation when changing my 56 filter. Would be curious if yours shows a
similar issue or wear pattern. In that same thread showing photos of what I found are posts with some links to the filters you can buy online for less $$ than over the counter at Napa.
